Coding agents
Overview
Your coding agent can write danwo tests, run them, read why they failed and fix the cause, through danwo's skill and MCP server.
danwo comes with everything a coding agent needs to work with it: a skill that teaches it how danwo tests are written, and an MCP server that lets it run tests, drive your app and read flight records. It works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, GitHub Copilot and any agent that reads skills or speaks MCP.
Why give your agent danwo
An agent that writes code can now check its own work the way a user would. It can open your app, click through a flow, see which provider calls happened behind it, and run the fault matrix. When a test fails, it reads the same failure page you would, and fixes the cause.
Set it up in one command
danwo init asks which agents you use and sets each one up:
npx @danwo/cli initCoding agents
created .claude/skills/danwo/SKILL.md
created .agents/skills/danwo/SKILL.md
created .mcp.json
created .cursor/mcp.json
created .vscode/mcp.json
created .codex/config.tomlSet up your agent shows each agent's files, and how to add one by hand.
What your agent gets
| Piece | What it is | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| The skill | How to write a danwo test, run the matrix, and debug a failure. | .claude/skills/danwo, .agents/skills/danwo |
| The MCP server | Tools to run tests, drive the app step by step, and read records. | npx @danwo/cli mcp, registered in your agent's MCP config |
danwo spec | Every API, config option, fault and error code, generated from danwo's code. | the CLI, and the danwo://spec MCP resource |
danwo guide | Task guides: first test, providers, matrix, debugging and more. | the CLI, and danwo://guide/<topic> |
| The failure pages | Each failed test as one page of evidence, ready to paste into a prompt. | danwo show --format md, the dashboard |
The MCP tools page lists every tool and what it's for.
Ask it to write a test
With the MCP server connected, ask in plain words:
Write a danwo test for buying 500 credits through Stripe Checkout,
then run the matrix on it.The agent opens a session in danwo's browser, walks the flow, checks each locator, scaffolds the
test with an invariant, runs it, and fixes it until it passes. The server's write-danwo-test
prompt gives it those steps.
The agent never sees your secrets. It fills a password with fill_secret by the secret's name,
and every answer, screenshot and record is redacted.
